THE THIRD DECADE 1949-1959

1.      PRINCIPAL:  O.B. HANSON B.A.  (1948-1952)

In 1948 O.B. Hanson and his wife, American missionary educators, arrived at Good Hope where he succeeded G.J. Glass as principal.  In 1950 a house for staff was built and a double-storey hostel was erected on the site of the original farmhouse. Post Std IX college courses for teachers and ministers were introduced.   The teaching staff were Charlie Africa, Leslie Hunter, Eddie May, Nicky Springveldt, D. Swaine, Willie Turner and Mavis Jepthas.
